Course Outline

  • All skills learned in Red Cross Emergency First Aid
  • Head and Spine injuries
  • Musculoskeletal injuries, including broken bones; sprains; strains; dislocations; splinting and transporting of an injured person
  • Soft tissue injuries, including bruises; cuts; scrapes; impaled objects; bandaging; internal injuries; burns
  • Medical conditions such as diabetic emergencies; convulsions; emergency childbirth
  • Heat and Cold emergencies, including heat exhaustion; heat stroke; hypothermia; frostbite
